Shaun started his career within the retail banking sector at branch level before moving over to financial planning as a client and adviser support administrator to build his knowledge and skill set. Alongside this, he gained his Diploma in Financial Planning and subsequently moved into the role of paraplanner where he has been able to combine his experience and technical knowledge to support to our Chartered Financial Planners and develop other members of staff in their progression. Since joining Ascent Financial Planning as our technical paraplanner, Shaun has now taken on the additional role of Head of Advice Process, overseeing the client journey from a technical perspective. He is also working towards becoming Chartered.
Shaun is responsible for leading and enhancing our advice process to ensure that it is efficient, compliant with regulatory standards while importantly focused on delivering excellent outcomes for our clients. As part of his role, he provides technical support to our team, working closely with our financial planners to formulate and implement bespoke financial plans for our clients.
Outside of work, Shaun enjoys taking his dog Elsi for long walks and spending quality time with his family and friends.
